Joint-workshop between CUMT and UWA

Joint-workshop between China University of Mining & Technology (CUMT) and The University of Western Australia (UWA).

Professor Shengqi Yang and Jianguo Wang from CUMT paid a visit to School of Civil, Environmental and Mining Engineering from 28/09/2017 to 29/09/2017 for possible collaborations between CUMT and UWA. During their visit, a workshop was held with several well-known professors in UWA attended. A wide range of topics in civil and mining engineering was discussed and potential collaborations was promoted during the workshop.

Since I graduated from CUMT, I haven't returned CUMT for an entire year. Therefore, this workshop is a good oppotunity for me to talk with professors from CUMT. I have made a presentation about my recent and future research topics during the workshop (titled 'Artificial Intelligence in Civil & Mining Engineering-An application in hangingwall stability prediction').

This workshop is a good success for both universities!
